Guitar Hero is not only a fun game to play it is a fun to watch others play. The music selection is great. There is something for all rock fans. Guitar Hero can be played over and over. It’s not a game you will get rid of once you beat it. This is an awesome game to have in your collection. It is fun to play alone or with friends. People who do not consider themselves gamers will enjoy playing Guitar Hero I. If you don’t already own this game…What’s the matter with you!Heres What Others Had to Say!
The sport of playing air guitar has a rich tradition stretching decades. Who doesn't get the urge to shred the strings at least once in their lives? Guitar Hero fulfills this fantasy just about as well as possible, and it's loads of fun (as millions worldwide have discovered). In case you've been hiding under a rock the past 3 years, I'll explain the premise to you. You choose a lucky rock star wannabe to represent you in the game world, and then make your way through the ranks until you become a guitar god, literally lifted into the heavens at the game's conclusion. The art direction on Guitar Hero is some of the best I've ever seen in a game. The menus draw from every heavy metal album cover ever, with strange creatures and grossly muscular gladiators filling the screen in an appealing, brightly-colored style. The song list has the appearance of a torn-out piece of notebook paper, and is covered with funny and weird little doodles every man knew he drew at some point back in high school. Each stage is decorative and moody, from the tiny basement filled with smoking amps and strobe lights, to the brightly lit arena where giant robots of a viking warrior and a kraken fight in the background.
Speaking of the song list, it's killer! From modern hits like "Take It Off", by The Donnas, to classics like "Ziggy Stardust", by David Bowie. All the main songs are covers, unfortunately, but the cover band does such a good job you don't really mind at all. These famous songs are supplemented by a handful of master tracks from indie groups you can buy in the store. These tracks don't really add a lot to the game, but they are fun enough to play, nonetheless.
Supplemented by a heap of unlockables, including guitars and behind-the-scenes videos; and featuring a fun multiplayer mode, Guitar Hero is a game you can't miss. Yes, it was to be aesthetically bettered in future installments. Master tracks for the "big" songs came along later, and improved multiplayer and tutorial modes entered that made everything smoother, and technically, better. Still, I feel very strongly that the original game is the most magical, has the best art design, and arguably, the best track list. If you have a PS2 and a hundred-some dollars to blow, buy this game. You'll be doing yourself a big favor.

Beat Career Mode on Expert DifficultyGuitar God Status
Complete every song including bonus tracks in normal, hard, and expert modes with a five star rating and recieve guitar god status.Glitches
Secret Characters without unlocking them
In career mode only.
To get this to work both of these conditions must be met
1: You will need to have unlocked the character previously on another difficulty level (such as normal)
2: You must NOT have played the desired level of play at all (so unlock them on medium to play with them on hard/expert, but do not play hard/expert at all)
To do the actuall glitch just go to medium and select either Izzy or Grim and allow the game to save your progress.
Now head into hard or expert (assuming you have never touched these modes yet) and do NOT move the cursor when promted to select a hero.
Just hit green (or X) and select your guitar (when playing as Grim you'll notice that it works right here).
When you start playing your hero won't be Axel Steel (or whoever was highlighted) but one of the two secret characters.
Don't ever change your character though because if you do you won't be able to play as them again until they are unlocked.
